barrientos worked with with
Legacy
Partners to develop and create a new mixed use building with 193
residential units nestled in the Yougstown neighborhood of West
Seattle. Youngstown was
the historic name for the area just south of the West Seattle bridge
and Harbor Island.
Maria was instrumental in redesigning the project with a strong focus on the experience of the
resident. Features include expansive, light filled residences,
views of downtown and Elliott Bay, private media room, excercise room,
larger than average bike storage, large private patios and decks and an
expansive roof top deck and Skylounge.

Because
West Seattle is home to a
large number of artists and the creative class, we wanted to be able to
convey the best parts of this neighborhood and the community through
its arts and open spaces. Youngstown FLats is across the street from
the Longfellow Creek Trail, where hiking and dog walking beckon.
Art
at
Youngstown Flats
Sara Everett from barrientos is an artist and has been working with Youngstown Flats to develop and
curate a very ambitious art program for the building. There are
currently 15 artists selected for the project. The pieces will be
located in the lobbies, residential corridors and the Sky Lounge.
Residents will be able to enjoy these exciting works on a daily basis.
Visit www.YoungstownFlats.com/the_art
