barrientos was hired to provide
feasibility analyses and a development plan for the renovation of this
historic building situated on a bluff next to Interstate 90 in the
Central Area. The building had been abandoned for 25 years and barrientos worked with the Urban
League to
purchase the building from the Seattle School District. The Urban
League's goal is to renovate the old classrooms on the 2nd and 3rd
floors into work force housing and develop a new African American
Museum on the first floor.
HRG has been brought on to develop the housing and barrientos
is serving as the owner's representative during this development, as
well as managing the development of the museum portion of this space.
